Stephanie Hutchison served as the Deputy Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Rabat until August 2017. In summer 2018, she will take up her duties at the Economic Unit Chief at Embassy Lisbon in Portugal. Prior to these assignments, Stephanie was responsible for U.S.-Turkish economic relations in the Office of Southern European Affairs at the State Department. Stephanie has also served in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 2006, Stephanie worked for a market research firm and an environmental consultancy. She holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College. Stephanie also completed the Foreign Service Institute’s six-month intensive economics course.
