We had a wonderful time at UNC’s 21st Annual Graduate Student Recognition Celebration on Apri 4th! The George Watts Hill Alumni Center is a gorgeous venue in the heart of campus where the TAM students have their graduate school orientation in August as the TAM adventure begins each fall. The Recognition event honored select graduate students receiving individual awards (such as the Dean’s Distinguished Dissertation Award) and also those students who have secured external funding. A few faculty and administrators who have made important contributions to graduate education on campus were also recognized. The interim Chancellor, Kevin Guskiewicz, gave opening remarks. Then the Dean of the Graduate School, Steve Matson, gave out awards. A poster session and reception followed.

Three TAM students from Sweden have STINT Foundation funding and one TAM student, now in Berlin, has an award from the DAAD.
