A DEGREE WITHOUT BORDERS

STUDY IN EUROPE, THE MIDDLE EAST, AND THE UNITED STATES

Established in 1998, this interdisciplinary, two-year MA program focuses on contemporary Europe and the transatlantic relationship. Students learn about EU institutions, European integration, and comparative welfare states. They focus on the pressing issues Europe faces today such as security, immigration, climate change, and economic disparity. TAM educates students by way of classroom and experiential learning environments. We train individuals in the methods of social-science critical inquiry and cultural adaptability. We remain committed to and engaged with the alumni community as our graduates pursue many different types of goals in international diplomacy, business, education, politics, law, and research.

THREE TRACKS OF STUDY

TRANSATLANTIC STUDIES

Study EU policy and contemporary European politics at UNC-CH and at one or two overseas partner universities. Integrated into the community, you will use your French, German, and/or English skills in class and daily life.

EUROPEAN GOVERNANCE

Hone your quantitative skills and focus on European studies and comparative social policy during one academic year at UNC-CH before studying in English as a partner university in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bremen, or Gothenburg.

GERMAN-TURKISH STUDIES
